Tennessee to North Carolina road trip

Sunday, 1/22/12, day one, starting a week long road trip visiting 7 bookstores in 2 states

This Sunday, in mid January, I drove to Nashville TN to call on the new and much publicized bookstore Parnassus Books, owned by author Ann Patchett and former Random House rep Karen Hayes. I’ll write about the store and take some pictures tomorrow.

I have lived in the South now for 20 years and still am in awe of its beauty. My job consists, as one would suspect, of lots of driving and I love all the open spaces between great cities. I also get to see some very important historical sites on the way!
